Some of you may be like "SSB64 online? Wtf is this guy smokin'"? But you really can play online, just not using your Nintendo 64. Using the emulator Project64k (you can use others as well, this is just most popular) you can play any N64 game online. You can also use any computer controllers you have to play, or you an just use the keyboard. I actually use my Xbox 360 controller.
But anyways, once in awhile my site HammerBros holds tournaments for SSB64 and I was actually just wondering how many of you guys would actually be interested. You guys don't have to be interested in playing in the tourneys, but I think this would be really cool for most of you to be able to play SSB64 online with each other.
Here's how to do it: First go to http://hammerbros.com and at the top of the page click files. There you'll see it says Project64k and to the right it has a link that says files. Click files and then you will download everything needed to play. You'll get the emulator, the online client, and most importantly the game. After you download it open up the folder and open Project64k (you'll notice another is called Project64 but the one with the k means it's online). Then go to File > Choose rom directory and then choose the folder called Games. And then you should be all set.
