Smast's gimmick tournament (VC PRIZE)

Okay so this is how the tournament will work out. For each match there will be a set of rules for each level as the way you work up to in the tournament. For example, the first match for everyone will be on Norfair with the bombs set to very high. As the tourny progresses, there will be different stages as well as items. The winner will have a 1500 vc or wii ware prize of his/hers choosing. You could have 3 nes games if you want but the total has to be up to 1500 points. The date will be the 23rd of August at 4:00pm central time (5:00 pm eastern). Its a standard elimination round and I'll post the stages and items later on once I know how many people will be joining. The cut off point for registering will be Friday the 22nd so I can think of all of the stages and items.


Okay here is an update. I forgot to mention that it will be a 4 stock match each time there are really good reasons for it as well but in the near future I have a big surprise for a new tournament that I'm working on and you need to have stamina and patience for it.

Okay another update. The way I'll be setting up the names is a random draw from a hat. I know brilliant idea eh lol.

Okay here is the final update for this topic. I will post the mtach ups later on today on this page near the end of this topic. and I think I"ll just keep using this topic for the semi finals and all of that. and just a little thing I would like to say is that if your match doesn't happen in a half an hour. then the person that was not ready would be eliminated. I want this tournament to be done by the same day and you will get your vc prize on monday. the reason is that mario rpg should be out that day for a us release. have fun and good luck to all

He's just gonna randomly match up the people. He doesn't care about the skill level of the people because anything can happen in this tournament due to there being items and non-neutral stages. It should be a lot of fun though.

people can chain grab and do what ever they want in this tournament but it doesn't matter. Besides some of the stages are anti chain grabbing stages anyways so it should be no problem. And its not really safe to chain grab when there is a bomb in your path.

okay its been done. I will announce the stages and match ups at 2. Everything will be in here and the chat room. You report the win or lose in the chatroom and I'll put the standings in this post. I will update every 10 minutes. Also I want this tournament to end today asap. If there is a match delay for a half an hour than I will allow that but if you are gonna be gone for an hour or so please have a really good reason and I'll accept it like going to the hospital or family reasons. There are items and unconventional stages. I think SM's intention is for this to be more a fun tournament, which is good.

heres the stages

round 1 norfair ,items bomboms, smart bombs, spicy curry, cracker launchers.

round 2 shadow moses island, items, raygun, motion detectors (mines), super scope, beam swords

round 3 pokemon stadium 2, items, pokeballs, lightning bolt, hotheads

round 4 rainbow cruise, items, mushrooms, poison mushrooms, hammers, golden hammers, green shells, red shells

round 5 icicle mountain ( not sure what its called ice peak i think but not sure anyways its the ice climber stage) items freezies, spring, urina, soccerballs, and the clock

round 6 final destination items everything on.

please set the items on high and follow by these settings. good luck and have fun.
