Character Signatures

I am making a signature of every single brawl character. Then i'm gonna put them all on my deviantart page with a link back to this site. Its an advertising scheme. anyways, i think i'll show you guys the sigs as i make them. I'm gonna upload them to dA all at once, so when im done them all is when i'll put them up on Deviant. Criticism and praise are both welcome. These are done in Soul Calibur IV format, with qll the characters and their reason for fighting.

thanks Okashii, i knew i was bound to screw up one of the words eventually.

my personal favourite as of now is Samus's, followed closely by Link's and Kirby's

oh i forgot to say, feel free to use these, just know that i won't be editing them to put you name on it. sorry, but i have alot of sigs to make, and i wont have the time to customize it for each individual person.

and before someone says i mispelled 'honor' i'm Canadian, so i use the Biritish spelling, 'honour'

same with colour, neighbour, favourite etc etc.

Just a little criticism...

Donkey Kong's fur is a bit pixellated around the edges, so you may wish to either go to more fine work on him, or use my ultimate tactic, the blur tool. Also, Pikachu seems a little non-dimensional to his background. I don't have any adivce for that, but you may wanna look into it. o.o

They look great though, as always ^^

heh, of course another sig artist would notice the pixels around DK. i just used the freaking magic wand tool to cut him out.i might go back and blur him a little bit. Also, if something seems 'non-dimensional to the background' try going to colours>bightness/contrast and screw around with the settings there.

i have to redo the pikachu one anyways, so i'll keep what you said in mind.

Lol, kirby one is sweet, but the samus and DK one are the best

Well, I speak constantly with the blur tool as my voice. It fades it into the background gently, while rounding the object and making it pop from the picture. I never knew the color trick, usually I screw up colors pretty badly, but it's worth playing around with.

As for DK, your method is understandable because fur can be tricky to work with. Nobody wants to detail each little fiber, trust me. Otherwise, it looks good..... even for DK -_-
