What am I?

I always loved playing the What am I game. It's simply just creating a riddle for people to guess as to what it is. It can be whatever you want.
You can choose to answer a riddle given by someone else or create your very own riddle to be answered too. If you post a riddle, make sure to post if someone answers your question correctly.

*Don't be lazy and use google*

Here's a few to start yall out:

1. "I get wetter and wetter the more I dry. What am I?"

2. "I come in different shapes and sizes. Part of me are curves, others are straight. You can put me anywhere you like, but there is only one right place for me. What am I?"

3. "Take away my first letter; take away my second letter; take away all my letters, and I would remain the same. What am I?"

Here's 2 I wrote:

4. "One quick pull, I hide the sun, but during the night, me and the roof are one. What am I?"

5. "Filled all day, Empty all night, Come in pairs, Tucked out of sight. What am I?"

i know number 2, but only cuz its my friends favourite riddle. HINT: he is a huge puzzle addict.

here's mine, i like these kind of riddles the most:

.Old Mr. Tidy was found dead in his study by Mr. Fiend. Mr. Fiend recounted his dismal discovery to the police. "I was walking by Mr. Tidy`s house when I thought I would just pop in for a visit. I noticed his study light was on and I decided to peek in from the outside to see if he was in there. There was frost on the window, so I had to wipe it away to see inside. That is when I saw his body. So I kicked in the front door to confirm my suspicions of foul play. I called the police immediately afterward." The officer immediately arrested Mr. Fiend for the murder of Mr. Tidy. How did he know Mr. Fiend was lying?

I'm gonna go ahead and say....... Mr. Tidy was a fish, the glass was fogged, and he "saw the body." There was no door to kick in, so he broke the glass, thus spilling it and the water, killing Mr. Tidy

Actually number 1 was already answered and it's not ice, lol. But dry ice doesn't actually dry anything, it's just the name. In the riddle, "dry" is being used as a verb.
