Pikmin 3
Captain’s Log # 1
My boss just informed me that I must go back to the planet where the Pikmin live. He said that their sensors found a small moon 100 km north of where I crashed nine months ago. Strange metal substances have been found there, which would be great for our company’s spaceships. He said it was an extremely dangerous mission but if I completed it, we would be the richest company in the world! I need to disembark tomorrow. Our rival company, Compass Spaceships will be going to get the metal as well.
Captain’s Log # 2
I’m just about there, about 50 km away from the moon. Five minutes have gone by and I’m about to land. It’s a lot colder here. The onions have followed me. I have all five types of Pikmin. Ten white and purple, and 50 blue, red, and yellow. I called out half the Pikmin and we walked around for a bit to make sure there were no monsters to ambush us. It’s very barren, not many plants. The ground is icy. I will be exploring tomorrow.
Captain’s Log # 3
The days feel much shorter here so I’m going to start exploring right away.
Captain’s Log # 4
I’ve made two exciting discoveries. There is an underground volcano and there are also orange Pikmin who are immune to the extreme temperatures. They are quite fast and strong. The monsters here freeze my Pikmin. Now I’m down to 40 Pikmin. The underground volcano is huge, with red-hot lava pouring down the sides. Right in front of the volcano was one of the rare metals I was looking for.
On my far right, a guy from Compass Rockets was getting ready to sprint for the precious metal. It was a brassy colour. I started to race for it, leaping over the scorching hot lava. I couldn’t really believe I was running that fast; most of my Pikmin were far behind except for the white ones. I blew my whistle to call back my Pikmin. I was getting tired, but I was almost at the metal. I just had to jump over one more patch of lava. I made it, but some of my Pikmin didn’t. The red, yellow and most of the white made it across. The blue, orange and purple just came up short. Now I knew I had to get this metal. Then out of nowhere, my Pikmin jumped on the other Commander’s Pikmin. They were battling hard and it looked like my Pikmin were winning the fight. When I got close enough to see the other Commander’s face, I knew who it was – my old partner, Louie!!!
CHAPTER TWO
Captain’s Log #5
Louie and I had a lot of catching up to do. He left about one month after our last adventure. He found one of the metals; he had brought one piece with him to show me. It was a cold gray colour. Louie and I thought that our companies should merge and become one big company but I said that would never happen.
Captain’s Log # 6
Louie and I worked all day and now we have about 1,200 Pikmin. We saw this giant shark-like thing flying through the air; it was amazing! I think I’ll call my boss about finding Louie, the metals and the shark-like thing.
Captain’s Log # 7
Today Louie and I are going to search for the giant shark-like creature. I would like to see if it could help us cross this ginormous lake not too far away. It’s crazy how the lake is not frozen over, but then again, it is a different planet. Another thing I noticed is that there is just a little less gravity here. The Pikmin stay in the air a bit longer and I can jump about two cm more than normal.
Captain’s Log # 8
The “lake” was a bit bigger than I expected, it’s more like an ocean. On the other side, there is a temple. It was full of traps. Louie and I wandered around for hours searching for metals. I found a metal; it was on top of a golden stool. I grabbed it, and then there was a loud “thunk”! I looked behind me and saw a giant Bulborb! This creature started to run at me so I started to run away, very very fast! I tried to find an exit then remembered Louie! I blew my whistle and he came out of an exit just behind me. I saw another exit just ahead, so we sprinted to it. We just about got eaten!!!!!

Captain’s Log # 9
So now Louie and I are both going to be writing this journal; Louie’s writing will be underlined.
Louie, that was fun going over the ocean on that giant shark!
Yeah, it was amazing! You could see everything. I saw a giant mountain over in the north, while you were sleeping. We could take the shark up there. I have a good feeling that there is going to be a piece of the metal there.
We should leave for there tomorrow at the crack of dawn.
Captain’s Log # 10
We were about to leave but we noticed it had started snowing, so now it will be even colder going on our journey.
I already thought that it was already cold and on top of that, it will be even colder since we are going to be inside of a mountain.
Captain’s Log # 11
Wowser, today was not good. First, nearly a third of my Pikmin fell off of the shark. There was a strong gust of wind, the purple Pikmin just stood there, as for most of the white and yellow Pikmin, and they went flying into the water below. As for the red Pikmin, only a couple of them fell off. None of the blue or orange fell off thank goodness. And as we had predicted, when we got to the mountain, it was bone-chillingly cold. Inside there were huge monsters, in what seemed like a state of hibernation. We tiptoed past them, trying not to make a sound. One of the purple Pikmin tripped making a loud thud, but none of the monsters awoke from their slumber. When we got past, we searched but there was not a piece of metal to be found. So that’s why today stunk.
Thants all for now
