Promote the Community

It is going to be a slow process developing a large and tight community here. So we all need your help. Let's first off get this forum flooded with new posts, and then go out and promote it to people. Send an email with the link to all your friends and family that play or will play. Put a link in your signature on other forums. If we are going to become a large community, we need YOUR help.

Well, my "promoting" hasn't been going well today. I think I'm pretty much beating a dead horse right now, so I think I'm gonna take a break for a few days from it and work more on getting the character profiles and strategy all up and maybe more detailed. I also might spend some time looking a host where I can transfer all of the data from this forum and all that good stuff whenever it is ready (any suggestions are welcome). So don't get discouraged all of you who are waiting for this forum to go big, I'm just going to focus more on upping the quality of the forum, which will in turn help in advertising.

hey smash_king, i was thinking, maybe if some people had myspace and facebook accounts they could create groups and invite people from pre-existing smash bros fan groups. i have a facebook account and there's TONS of facebook groups, but maybe we could like create one dedicated to promoting this forum in order to get people to join?

Hmm...that is a very good idea. Unfortunately I don't have a facebook or myspace page anymore, because I have had them deleted because employers and such will check them and use it against you. If you wanted to create the official group for this forum though by all means go ahead. If you want me to write stuff to put on there I would be more than happy to do so.

I could always ask around my friends...but I doubt they will join, either because they dont play smash or because they are french and dont understand english very well... (yeah Im french :P)

I will ask around my english friends to see if they wanna join or not. They are all casual players (not much official competition in montreal) but hey...everyone's welcome right?

Of course, anyone is welcome :) Casual, competitive, doesn't matter. I guess they do need to speak English though.

ok, as long as you don't laugh at my French if i ever get the urge to post in it :) that being said, i should be able to garner what you mean, even as S_K said, your English does seem pretty flawless

I learn basic French in school, its a pretty neat language, but the whole masculine/feminin word thing is quite confusing.

yeah...most people who try to learn french thinks that w ay too. If you want a hint, most of feminine words ends with a ''e''
and most of the english words finishing by -tion (attention, invention etc...) is the same word in french

have any one played crash bash? i learned my english there when i was six and in the main menu when crash dances lol i was a fan of him i always danced like him but then i sold my ps2 and started with nintendo, i miss him but that will dissapear in time but not completely.

Crash bash was one of the best ps1 games I ever played, it was so much fun. Favorite character was dingodile.
